Due to the babies prematurity, they will be evaluated until 2-3 years of age to ensure they are meeting the proper milestones and receiving any early intervention that might be needed. Even though the babies are actually 6-months old, they are compared developmentally to a 3 month old baby.
The evaluation went really well. Both babies appear to be on track nutritionally and only slightly behind developmentally. AJ weighed in at 12 lbs. 12 oz and Leah at 12 lbs 9 oz. It was suggested that AJ and Leah get occupational therapy to assist with movement and some of their skills like rolling and sitting up to make sure they continue to succeed.
Babies are doing great and we hope to keep up the progress.
