8-month Check-Up

Today, we headed to the pediatrician for our 8-month check-up. Mommy had her list of questions (like always) and we spent an hour with the doctor. Our doc is great...I never feel like I have a stupid question or that she is rushing us.

The babies are growing and growing. AJ weighed in at 15 lbs. 1.5 oz and is on the growth chart at the 1 percentile (about 25th percentile for adjusted age). He is measuring 25 1/4 inches long which doesn't quite put him on the chart yet, but he is charting about 25% for adjusted age. Leah weighed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz and is in the 7th percentile (50% for adjusted age) and is 25 1/2 inches long and in the 9th percent (about 50% for adjusted).

WAY TO GROW BABIES!!

The check-up went well and the babies are showing good growth and development. They got a shot today and were real troopers, only a few tears. We talked about AJ's reflux issues and the doc doesn't think we need to see a specialist at this time. The poor guy scared us the other night when he spit-up while laying on his back in his crib. It was all over his face and he breathed it in and choked....scared the crap out of me!! We are now mixing rice cereal in his bedtime bottle to help thicken it hopefully reducing the bedtime spit-up.

After carrying our heavy loads around today, Daddy finally said "I think next time we will bring the stroller." Umm...Mommy has been saying that for awhile! Just another day....
